ABCO Wood Recycling
came about in the spring of 2004. Shawn
Montee, a North Idaho native and forest
enthusiast saw an alternative way to
dispose of wood waste. RECYCLE it, don’t
burn it or fill up landfills. With that
came ABCO Wood Recycling. First opening
in Spokane, Washington and one year
later in Post Falls, Idaho. With new
locations in Eastern Washington and
Western Montana to come.
To date, ABCO has taken in over 1.1
million tons of wood waste
and used it to generate electricity,
create mulch, as well as many other
uses and kept it out of landfills.
